about me
A little about me...I'm a stay at home mom who can't stop creating! (How old do your kids have to be before you stop saying 'stay at home mom'?) I don't know. Anyhow, I'm primarily a quilter but I also love to play with wood and have been collecting various old papers, secondhand frames, buttons and other ephemera for some time now. I decided to combine all these elements I've gathered and came up with miniature quilt collages.
The
reason for the name "Galloping Pony Studio", is based on a quilter's theory. The galloping horse theory says if you can't see a mistake in a
quilt from a galloping horse it really doesn't matter. I enjoy the
character of imperfection and since I do
miniatures... Galloping Pony, the studio is added because I like that word.
Makes me feel like a real artist.
Currently I'm working on a few projects for a few magazines, getting ready for the Buggy Barn's Quilt Show/Antique and Folk Art Sale and contemplating my next move. What to try next? And, as always, creating more art. For the very latest in my little world visit my art blog. In it I post photos and thoughts about miniature quilt art.
Thanks for dropping by. E-mail me, I'd love to hear from you!
